A few pics to show the progress of the belly… These were taken yesterday.
Ugh, my hair looks awful. I need a hair cut. Whatever. 🙂 Miraculously, I’m still fitting into my pre-pregnancy jeans with the help of the incredible Bella Band. This thing has saved me from spending lots of bucks on ill-fitting maternity pants.
I lost my “m” plug the other day, or at least a large part of it, and I won’t go into gross gory details, but this would normally mean that labor is just around the corner: anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks away. My doctor doesn’t seem too concerned though, and just asked me to monitor my braxton-hicks contractions more closely and call if they increase in frequency.
I think I’d be okay with the Baby A coming a little bit early, so long as I’m past 36 weeks. At least 3 more weeks, please! Any earlier and I have to go to the icky cold, crowded hospital with the NICU instead of the other lovely, comforting hospital with the showers and tubs in each of the private birthing rooms. And of course, the longer Baby A sits cozy in the womb, the better for baby. Based on my size alone, and based on how high I’m carrying still, I don’t foresee A coming early.
I’ve gained about 18 pounds so far, and I’m measuring right on target, so even though I’m constantly being told that I’m “so small” by other folks, I’m confident and happy that I’m right on track according to my doctor. It is amazing how every woman’s body responds differently to pregnancy, and I’m continuously impressed at how my body is changing for the upcoming delivery.
