First of all, thank you everyone for your very kind thoughts and words. Things are going well here, Thanksgiving was wonderful and relaxing, and filled with family. Tay’s dad seems to be feeling pretty good after his first round of chemo. He is taking it easy, but still took time to enjoy the family this past weekend, fitting in a round of golf and some time on the quad when the boys were out riding their dirtbikes. Work continues to slow down, which is a little bit alarming, but is causing me to think outside the box a bit and consider supplementary options. It’s not easy to find a part time job when you’re 8 months pregnant.
EIGHT MONTHS! I can’t believe it. Of course, not everyone realizes that “full term” is actually 10 months from conception to birth. I was so frustrated when I found that out! 🙂
We’re starting to feel a little more prepared. We’ve built all of Baby A’s furniture and set up the co-sleeper. We have our last birthing class next week, along with a breastfeeding class (Tay is thrilled about that one, hahaha). This past weekend, my mom and I gathered all of the missing pieces for my labor kit for the hospital. I have two baby showers coming up in the next two weeks, which will help fill in all the missing pieces.
Christmas is around the corner, and I’m trying my best to get creative with gifts this year. So far, I’ve made my mother-in-law’s gift and my niece’s gift. I’ve got a few other tricks up my sleeve for other friends and family. After Christmas, I’ll post pics.
Oh, right. Yoga. Um… (cue crickets chirping)
No, seriously. I do get in a little yoga each week, although ashtanga practice has been greatly reduced to once weekly modified primary series and has been replaced on other days by a spattering of whatever feels good at that moment. I’m hoping to make it to Santa Barbara early on Friday for practice at AYSB before my work meeting, but we’ll see how that goes. I’d have to leave my house at about 4 a.m. so it all depends on my sleep the night before.
