Just when I thought it was safe to get back on the mat as a regular, I strained one of my adductor muscles on the left side. No biggie, just no big stretches on that side.
Thank you to everyone for your congratulations on yesterday’s post! I’m loving this pregnancy thing more than I thought I would. It’s exciting to watch my body change, to feel these strange sensations in my abdomen, to plan for the future. It’s also extremely overwhelming.
I hate clothes right now, and if I have to wear clothing, all I want to wear is a breezy jersey knit dress. So I’ve been trying to stock up on a few. Yesterday I tried on several dresses and I had a hard time getting past the fact that all of them made me look “fat.”
“Just wait a few more months!” Said my friend shopping with me. Ah. Right. Good point.
In the meantime, the top half is growing much faster than the bottom half, and tops that used to make me look “athletic” now make me look a little “tarty.” As an example of this, I wore one of my favorite dresses to dinner and a concert last night, and when I walked into the restaurant, my friend took one look at me and said, “What’s up, Breasts!”
