Moon day today.
I told Tay that I had planned this: Yesterday’s full practice followed by today’s rest day. Otherwise, I’m all about sustainability. Only do today what you know you can do again tomorrow. He disagrees with my reasoning. He’s a big supporter of the “Go Big Or Go Home” camp. But if today was a practice day for me? I think I’d be cutting it short since I “went big” yesterday and I’m now sore and weak as a result. I like to work up to the full practice, if I’ve been away from it for a few days, to build stamina and endurance in the mind and in the body.
I’m going here today to taste a whole bunch of Pinot Noir. Go ahead and check that long list for your favorite Pinot Noir producer. You’ll most likely find them. But back to today: Starting at 9 a.m. with a seminar/tasting on whether or not Pinot Noir is losing its regionality, followed by another discussion and tasting panel exploring Oregon AVAs and then attending the “focus tasting” between 3 and 6 pm.
This is going to be a long day.
