Last one, I promise.
This is from our “Save The Date” for our wedding back in 2004. For weeks, we searched everywhere for a photobooth. Every so often a friend would say, “Oh I think I saw one at the mall…” or some hazy lead, and we’d hop in the car and drive down to the suspected location, and then would always be disappointed. I actually called a few distributors to try to locate one in San Luis Obispo County. There was one photobooth left in the county at the bowling alley in Pismo. We drove down there after work one day, and it was out of order. And apparently it had been out of order for months.
Finally, we found one up in Santa Cruz at the Beach Boardwalk. We took three strips before we came up with this one because the quality of the photobooth photos was terrible! I wasn’t thrilled with this one, but my mom was waiting for us in the car AND we ran out of quarters, so we decided to just go with it.
Tay looks excited, doesn’t he? Or maybe he’s just scared. 🙂
I told him that all of my friends and family that hadn’t yet met him would think that he was bug-eyed.
After we sent this one out, we later received several other photobooth save-the-dates from other couples. Even my cousin had one just like it. I like to think I started the trend, as I thought this was an original idea at the time. But I most likely didn’t.
