This will probably come out all wrong…
But ever since Friday, I’ve noticed that I’m much more comfortable with my legs spread. Tee hee.
No, but seriously. Yesterday I was standing at the kitchen counter shucking fresh blackeyed peas (a hateful job) and I felt this intense impatience brewing in my pelvis and legs. I pulled a stool over from the island and hiked my left leg up over it. A small crack… Ah, release.
And last night while watching The Queen, I was sitting on the couch in my normal fashion: A cushion propped behind my back in one corner, indian style… and once again, I felt that strange stirring… Like I have been under water for too long and I need to get some air. Pulled the left leg behind my head, and crack. Yes, that’s what I needed.
I’ll be pleased when Ladies Holiday is over and I get my daily dose of Utthita Hasta Padanghustasana, Konasana, Supta Hasta Padanghustasana, etc.
In the meantime, I’ll keep defending my ladylike status. I’m a good girl, I am.
