Bagels are the new croissants. This is because I have yet to find a good croissant in my new town that is open at the not-so-wee hour of 7:30. PEOPLE! 7:30 is NOT THAT EARLY!
I remember the days when bakeries opened at 6 a.m. When shelves were stocked with fresh baked scones, muffins, and (most importantly) butter croissants. But apparently, I ask for too much when I reminisce.
There’s got to be one out there. I must be missing something. It’s tough being the new kid on the block.
I did find a good bagel shop, though.
