Last night, I set two alarms on my beloved clock. The first was the bells, which I set for 5:25. The second, the obnoxious radio at 5:30. I figured out how to set the radio alarm, but not the other alarms. I was hoping the bells would wake me first and I’d turn both alarms off because Really… who wants to be woken by a radio? I’d rather have them bells.
Friday today, and although I should only be practicing primary series, I was considering practicing my entire series since I didn’t get much of a practice in on Wednesday and there was no practice at all yesterday.
Alas, I awoke again, for the third morning in a row, at 6:15. Sigh. I was beside myself with grief and frustration. But look! The alarm light… it’s still blinking… which means the alarm is still sounding?? I turned the volume dial a little… and then I heard them. The bells.
The f’ing volume has been turned off! AARGH!
Oh well. Partial primary was all I could fit in. And the backbending sequence. My two Viparita Chakrasanas are getting better. More controlled on the descents. No help from Tay this morning, so I pretty much could only hold my handstand for about 5 breaths before holding scorpion for 4 breaths and falling ungracefully into urdvha dhanurasana. Eh, self-sufficiency is something I need to work towards on those poses anyways.
