After a chat with Jody and some prodding and convincing, I decided to try Pasasana on my own in practice yesterday. Actually, it didn’t take much convincing, I’ll be honest. It went something like this:
Jody: Why don’t you try pasasana today?
Me: Do you think I should?
Jody: I would.
Me: Okay, I will.
Yeah. Twist my arm, right? Or, more appropriately, twist my entire torso like wringing out a wet rag…
I can’t do it with my heels down. I’d get the bind balancing on my toes, but once I’d work the heels back down, I’d lose my balance and roll back onto my back. Amy just watched and giggled along with me. I was trying to get it without the rolled up mat under the heels trick, but I may just have to resort to that for a while… suggestions anyone? I finally gave up and went into backbends. Which feel strange after Pasasana. They feel so natural after Setu Bandhasana…. not so much following the scrunching, lengthening, wringing, and twisting that is Pasasana.
Well, anyways…. Right or wrong, crim or not, I tried it. And I might just try it again today. Tee Hee!
In other bizarre news, I won the football pool at work this week. Take that, sports fans! I didn’t watch a single game! HA!
