I love this time of year. And lately, I just can’t seem to get enough fresh fruit. Luckily, my farm share keeps me satisfied.
Today I had a donut peach, half a grapefruit, a handful of red grapes, some blueberries, an apricot, some sliced cantaloupe and a few raspberries. All local, all amazing.
What’s your favorite summer treat?
can we trade places?! i just ate 7 candy bars, and i’m not really into candy bars.
OH! Hey Eeyore! Last week I ate gummy bears nonstop. Then I realized I could quit the sugar cravings by stuffing myself with fruit, so that’s what I’ve been trying to do!
ok, i’ll try that.
watermelon!!!! and blueberries and strawberries. Andrea brought me a fruit salad made of watermelon, feta cheese, basil, and a drizzle of olive oil. she said she usually makes it with fresh mint. yum!
mine is..after a LONG run…my husbands awesome hand shaken, top shelf, margaritas!!!! of course you HAVE to include a shot of “cabo wabo” on the side! yum! oh, and ONLY on saturdays!! ;o)
Hmmm, I think my favorite must be the strawberries I get at the U-pick field. They’re only available a few weeks in June though. Farmers’ market cherries are pretty good.
bing cherries. as many as i can eat before i get sick
Local SC Corn on the cob! SO delish..we eat it all summer long.
We get whatever fish is freshest, corn on the cob, and a few other local veggies, and grill them all. We each eat 2 cobs, minimum!
