Looks like India will have to wait.
The more I think about it, the more I realize that January is just not a good time for me to go. We’ll have just moved into our new house, we’ll still be finishing up the interior: painting, tiling, trim work. I want to be there to help with that. I’d be leaving my job at Talley, and I’m afraid I won’t have a job to come home to. That’s one thing when you rent, it’s doable. Another thing completely when you have owe double your rent on a MORTGAGE. Scary shit.
I broke the news to Tay. He agreed, but felt that we can scrape the money together for India another time. My only concern is that I want to go before children come into the picture, before life gets too complicated to even imagine a month away, and hopefully, before Guruji stops teaching. But realistically, the latter may become a reality before I get to India.
